Coastal Buys talks to Amir Mian, founder of Amir Prestige, about his real estate journey and the latest market trends. 

What was the inspiration behind founding Amir Prestige?

I founded Amir Prestige because I wanted to reimagine what luxury real estate could mean. To me, “prestige” isn’t just about multimillion-dollar homes—it’s about delivering world-class service, record-breaking marketing, and exceptional care for every property, no matter the price point. I’ve always believed that every home has a story worth celebrating, and every client deserves the very best. My inspiration came from wanting to set a new standard in the industry, one where results, integrity, and relationships come first.


How long have you worked in the industry? 

I’ve been a real estate agent for over 30 years. In that time, I’ve seen the market evolve in so many ways, but my passion has always stayed the same: helping people move into the next chapter of their lives while achieving the very best results for them.


Which areas do you cover and where are your offices located? 

We have seven offices across the Gold Coast and in Northern NSW. These regions are some of the most desirable in the country, and I feel privileged to work in such stunning and diverse markets every single day.


Tell us about your Byron Bay office. When did you establish it and how successful has it been?

We established our Byron Bay office in 2023, and it’s been a phenomenal success from the start. Byron is such a competitive and iconic market, but we’ve achieved huge sales there in a short period of time, including a record-breaking $22,000,000 sale in Coopers Shoot. It’s incredibly rewarding to see the Amir Prestige brand thrive in Byron and to know that our approach—high-quality marketing, strong client relationships, and deep local knowledge—resonates so well.

The market right now is extremely active, with both interstate and local buyers, and we’re seeing demand from people upsizing, downsizing, and investing. It’s an exciting time, and the momentum only seems to be building.


What are your expectations for the spring selling season? 

I believe spring is going to be even busier. With such strong results in winter—over $110,000,000 sold under the hammer—buyer demand is carrying through, and confidence is high. I’m expecting the spring season to deliver even more opportunities for both buyers and sellers.


What do you enjoy most about working in real estate? 

Seeing the joy, relief, and excitement on my clients’ faces when we achieve the best result possible—that’s what motivates me every single day.


What are your favourite things to see and do in the Tweed Coast, Byron Shire or the Southern Gold Coast?

I’m so lucky to live and work in such a beautiful part of the world. In Tweed, I love exploring the hinterland, enjoying the boutique wineries, and sampling the incredible local produce. Byron Shire has such a unique energy—I never get tired of walking along Wategos Beach, exploring the markets, or watching the sunrise at Cape Byron Lighthouse. And in the Southern Gold Coast, I enjoy the balance of pristine surf beaches and family-friendly communities—there’s nothing like swimming at Tallebudgera Creek or watching the surfers at Snapper Rocks. These are the things that remind me why so many people want to make this region their home, and why I’m so passionate about helping them do it.
