Meet Michael Seeff from Bush to Beach Legal

IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Coastal Buys talks to Solicitor Michael Seeff from Bush to Beach Legal about what people should consider when selecting professionals to represent them in property transactions.

What services does Bush to Beach Legal offer?

Bush to Beach Legal offers legal services across property, commercial and estate planning matters, with a strong focus on conveyancing. We help clients with residential and commercial sales and purchases, leasing, wills and estates, and related legal issues that come up along the way. A lot of our work is about helping people make big decisions with good advice, clear communication and a steady hand through the process.

Which areas do you cover?

We work across New South Wales and Queensland, with a strong focus on the Northern Rivers, Tweed Coast, Byron Shire and Gold Coast regions. We know these areas well and love working with clients who are buying, selling or investing in this part of the world. That said, we also act for clients more broadly who are looking for a solicitor who is responsive, commercial and easy to deal with.

What should people consider when selecting a solicitor or law firm for their conveyancing needs?

I think people should look for someone who is not just there to push paper around, but who is actually thinking about the deal and protecting their position. Good conveyancing is about more than forms and deadlines — it is about spotting issues early, managing risk properly and making sure the client understands what they are signing up to. Responsiveness matters, attention to detail matters, and so does having someone who can communicate clearly without making the whole process feel harder than it needs to be.

What was the inspiration behind Bush to Beach Legal?

The inspiration was to build a firm that delivers high-quality legal work in a way that still feels personal, grounded and approachable. A lot of people find legal services intimidating or impersonal, especially when they are already dealing with the pressure of a sale, purchase or business decision. Bush to Beach Legal was built around the idea that clients should be able to get sharp legal advice and feel properly supported at the same time.

“Markets always have their shifts, but one thing that does not really change is the value of being well prepared and
well advised.”

What do you enjoy most about helping people with a sale or purchase?

Probably the fact that you get to take something that can feel stressful and uncertain, and make it feel clear, structured and under control. For most people, property is one of the biggest financial decisions they will make, so there is real value in being able to guide them through that well. I also genuinely enjoy the strategy and problem-solving side of it — picking up issues early, finding a path through them and helping clients get to the finish line with confidence.

What sets Bush to Beach Legal apart?

I think it is the combination of strong legal work and a very human approach. We are professional and detail-driven, but we are also approachable, responsive and easy to communicate with. Clients are given our direct mobile numbers so that we are always accessible to them. They want someone who knows what they are doing, tells them what they need to know and keeps things moving. That is something we place a big emphasis on.

What can clients expect when engaging your services?

Clients can expect clear advice, honest communication and a process that feels well managed from start to finish. We aim to be proactive rather than reactive, and to deal with issues early instead of letting them become bigger problems later. We also try to keep things straightforward — no unnecessary legal theatre, just practical advice, good service and a genuine focus on achieving the best outcome we can for the client.

How do you feel the current market is performing?

Markets always have their shifts, but one thing that does not really change is the value of being well prepared and well advised. Whether the market is moving quickly or cooling off in certain pockets, buyers and sellers still need to understand the fine print, manage risk and make informed decisions. So rather than trying to make big predictions, I would say that good opportunities still exist, but the details matter — and good advice matters.
